Get started with the perfect chassis for trips

The RS4 Sport 3 chassis is the latest evolution of HPI Racing's off-road design. It features a highly efficient, sealed, ball bearing driven drive motor for maximum efficiency while minimizing maintenance.

Suspension design is taken directly from full-size and full-size racing technology, with double wishbone suspension fitted with oil-filled shock absorbers.

One-piece die-cast body The RS4 Sport 3's main body is made from a single piece of reinforced plastic and features a transmission tunnel molded down the center just like the real car. It's a step further than any vehicle with a plastic tub body available today.

Low profile layout design One of the ways we gave the RS4 Sport 3 the best possible control was by making sure all components fit as low as possible in the chassis. This gives the car a surprisingly low center of gravity for enhanced cornering capabilities.

Barcelona engines accepted

The drivetrain in the RS4 Sport 3 features very strong alloy gears in both the front and rear differentials, ball bearings, metal parts and axle parts. This means that it can withstand the power of ultra-strong systems and can use up to 3S LiPo of energy!

Fits a wide range of batteries The RS4 Sport 3 chassis can fit lithium-polymer, nickel-cadmium packs of various sizes, including extra-long 7-cell Ni-MH packs. Whatever your power requirements, it can hold it all! A thick hook-and-loop strap holds the pack securely in place, and a simple battery block screws into place to allow you to adjust the weight distribution forward or backward for more steering or acceleration.

Full-time 4WD The RS4 Sport 3 features full-time 4WD to give you the most control and precision on the road or track. All four wheels are powered by a heavy-duty differential front and rear, just like a real car. The extra traction gives you more acceleration and cornering control for maximum confidence and fun.

Sealed shaft drive The powertrain for all RS4 Sport 3 models features the longitudinally mounted engine in the cast body, along with a long driveshaft that descends down the center of the vehicle. The entire drivetrain, including the center shaft and gear differentials, is completely sealed to prevent dirt, rocks and debris from damaging or attaching the driveline. The shaft, differentials and axles rotate on ball bearings to increase the efficiency of the drive system.

Under-access steering column The center-shaft connecting the front and rear differentials is easily accessible from under the chassis. This allows the drivetrain to be completely enclosed to protect it from rocks and debris no matter where you might want to drive your vehicle.

Easy access to French

Accessing the differential for quick adjustments requires only 4 bolts to be removed - this allows you to take out the differential, change grease, check gears, or just give it a general service.

4-GEAR DIFFS METAL Bevel differentials at each end of the vehicle transfer power from the drive shaft to the axle shafts that drive each wheel. The drivetrain's all-metal chassis allows it to withstand powerful engines for easy future upgrade. Rubber ball bearings support the differential and each differential can be adjusted independently by changing the lubricant.

Double spring fully adjustable suspension

The RS4 Sport 3's suspension system uses a racing-proven double-wishbone suspension design, similar to a modern full-size race car. You'll be able to control the blow resistance and dive of the front and rear arms with standard pivot blocks, and optional parts allow you to adjust the angles of the assistant and toe. You'll also be able to easily change the center of the front and rear rolling by installing the racing-style vertical ballstud on the inner and outer linkage mounts. Multiple shock mounts provide a full range of shock suspension angle adjustment to suit different road conditions.
